Fanshawe Graphic Design

Partnering with Fanshawe College design students to create a branded marketing campaign for our #NextGen Employers initiative was an incredibly rewarding experience. Their creativity, fresh perspectives, and professionalism brought our vision to life in ways we hadn’t imagined. Being able to partner with students in this Experiential Learning opportunity, is a true win-win: we gained a bold, youth-centered campaign, and the students gained real-world experience making an impact in their community.

As a not-for-profit organization, we were fortunate to be involved with Fanshawe College 3rd year Graphic Design students as they completed their Capstone Project. The nature and scope of their involvement was thoroughly explained beforehand by the program faculty, with an outline of expectations for our organization and clear timelines provided.

We appreciated the excitement, energy and creativity of the students we had the pleasure of working with.

It's been an absolute pleasure working with Katie, Eunji and Fatima from the Fanshawe course. They have been professional and easy to work with, producing creative new ideas for the awareness campaign around Merrymount's upcoming 150th anniversary. Their work has demonstrated a keen understanding of brand marketing, graphic design, and communications and we look forward to incorporating some of their ideas into our exciting anniversary year!

Over the duration of the semester, Ella, Matt and Nicole worked together to create an engaging awareness campaign for our organization. They exceeded our expectations, as they created and delivered this campaign to the best of their abilities with a high level of creativity and flexibility toward the project. They followed directions, sought clarification when needed, maintained professionalism, and were always open to feedback.

We were thrilled to work with our Fanshawe students on a marketing project. The students were fantastic to work with - very professional and enthusiastic - and we had so much fun admiring their work on our project. They captured our initiative quickly and the images were stunning. We're looking forward to using their billboard and bus shelter ads in the future. Thanks for all the great work!

The students worked with us to create a new feeling and the right "look " for our new programs. We were impressed by the ideas they had and the different ways they approached the project. Through the creative use of our assets, they shaped engaging products, and eye catching while conveying the information we wished to share with our public.

Working on this project has pushed us to determine our priorities for Fanshawe Conservation Area and, through conversations with the students, allowed us to determine the messaging we want to share with the public. We appreciate the team's enthusiasm and willingness to incorporate our feedback. It's been great to see their creativity as they transform our ideas into their campaign vision.

My experience working with the students on the Capstone Project has been such a positive one! Natalie and Torin understood the assignment and delivered beautiful designs with clear messaging that will help support the important work done at Youth Opportunities Unlimited. Their professional attitudes and desire to understand our clients was impressive and it was wonderful to work with them.
